A young woman is confined in an underground bunker with thirty-nine other females, guarded by silent armed men. Her past is erased, and she knows nothing of the outside world, books, or emotions. As she faces an unchanging, isolated existence, she begins to realize she must reinvent herself. When everything changes yet nothing truly does, she must confront the terrifying unknown: freedom.
